What was involved?
We have a back garden that is over 40 ft long with a wall either side from neighbours. The walls were in very bad condition and both neighbours agreed that they needed to be removed and replaced. Ken installed a double row of strips of wood that are offset so that you can't see through them but air can get through. The wood was treated and posts were encased in concrete.

My husband and I were so happy with how the fence turned out that we decided to get Ken to do some extra work in the garden. Old patio slabs were pulled up and Ken built a new patio to the right of an existing conservatory. New steps leading up to the conservatory door were added as well. From three feet back of the conservatory and stretching to both sides of the fence, Ken built a retaining wall. We were concerned about water so Ken installed a drain at the perimetre of the patio along the back.

I needed a footpath leading to a new shed so Ken put a nice winding pathway. Flower beds just inside the small retaining wall completed the project.

I heard about ken from a garden centre, they recommended him to us.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Ken Eccles?
we knew the types of things we wanted but were interested in getting Ken's input.

Did Ken introduce new ideas?
Ken was very helpful with ideas but was very nice about it, never pushy. He showed us tiling samples for the patio and had helpful advice about steps, pathways, borders and a suitable shed for the garden. This was advice that he could give because he does this type of thing for a living but all final decisions were left to up to us, it was great.

How did the project run?
Perfect. We trusted Ken enough to leave him at the house working on the project while we were away on holiday. When we came back, the whole job was completely finished and it was perfect, including the drainage and my husband is a stickler about drainage. Even though it's January, our garden looks gorgeous, the whole thing is impeccable.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Expert Decking Landscaping and Patios?
The price was definitely a benefit but I just thought that everything about Ken was brilliant.

What's your favourite part now?
The whole job was impeccable but I just love the steps he built leading up to the conservatory and the path leading to the shed. They were both features that added a nice touch to the overall finish and I had never considered them before.

Would you recommend Expert Decking Landscaping and Patios to others?
I would have no hesitation recommending Ken to anyone, in fact, my sister will be using Ken as well.

Any tips for other people?
I would say to pick Ken! Getting the right person is 90% of a getting a job done well.
